Pennsylvania speeds up snowmobile renewal process

PennDOT and DCNR have partnered to speed up the renewal process of all-terrain and snowmobile vehicle registrations in Pennsylvania, according to GantDaily.com.

Beginning July 1, PennDOT will be processing DCNR's renewals for consumer snowmobiles, ATVS and dealer registrations. The renewals with now be received by consumers within two weeks.

Applicants will continue to mail applications to DCNR. The applications will be opened and processed by PennDOT.

Previously, the applications were processed by DCNR manually by staff. This process took four to six-weeks.

There are 260,000 registered ATV owners and 37,307 snowmobilers in Pennyslvania.
