This August, snocross champion Tucker Hibbert will lead a team of his fans, friends and family at the 10th Annual Walk for Wishes event in Minneapolis, sponsored by Make-A-Wish Minnesota. Team 68's goal will be to raise $6,800 – the average cost of granting one child's wish.

The 5K walk through Minnehaha Park will take place on Saturday, Aug. 6. Those who are interested in participating may donate at least $20 to earn a spot on the team and a limited edition Team 68 t-shirt. Every dollar raised by the team will go directly to Make-A-Wish Minnesota.

“We’re really excited to get Team 68 fans together to raise money for Make-A-Wish Minnesota,” Hibbert said. “Last year, when we were involved with granting a boy’s wish to get a snowmobile, we experienced firsthand the power of a wish. It’s an honor to be involved with an organization that’s making a difference in people’s lives.”

Powered by wish families, volunteers, donors, and friends, Walk For Wishes is a spirited event that offers participants the choice of a 5K walk or a 5K run. The fundraising event celebrates the thousands of wishes that have already been granted while raising funds for future wishes. In 2015, more than 600 people participated in the Walk for Wishes Minnesota event, raising nearly $75,000 for Make-A-Wish Minnesota.

“A wish experience can be a game-changer for a child with a life-threatening medical condition. A wish is much more than just a nice thing. The experience can positively impact the lives of everyone involved, forever,” said Mia Broos Hoagberg, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish Minnesota. “With the support of friends like Tucker, we are able to grant life-changing wishes for Minnesota kids. Every dollar raised through Walk for Wishes will provide wish kids and families with a healing experience at a time when they are devastated by their diagnosis. We thank Tucker for his continued support.”
