With most racing series just about over, Cor PowerSports and Midwest Extreme Snowmobile Challenge (MESC) are just hitting their mid-season stride!
The first weekend in April is the first MESC event of the 2018 season. These are extremely unique events as they are the only ones in the Midwest that feature three different disciplines (Hillclimb, Hill X, & XC) of racing at one venue on the same weekend. Three years ago was the first MESC event at Lutsen Mountains Ski Resort and since then Cor PowerSports has seen significant growth each and every year, while 2018 looks to follow suit.
The event at Blackjack Ski Resort will be April 7-8, with cross country taking over the hills on Saturday. Overnight the series will transition from the XC course and get the Hill X and Hillclimb courses set up for the bar-to-bar race action on Sunday.
Currently, Blackjack Ski Resort has reported 147” (over 12 feet) of snow for the season with a packed base of over two feet. About a week prior to the event, they will be able to finalize the cross country course route as snow conditions will dictate that layout.

The Blackjack event has become one of the racers and fans favorites, very spectator friendly and snowmobile racing on a ski hill in April. What more could a race fan ask for???
