Tim Tremblay wins first Pro Open of 31st Grand Prix Ski-Doo of Valcourt

 Tim Tremblay won Friday's Pro Open snocross at the 31st Grand Prix Ski-Doo of Valcourt.

The Quebec rider crossed the finish line six seconds ahead of David Joanis of Cochrane, Ontario and Robbie Malinoski of Stacy, Minnesota.

Donovan Asselin of La Doré, Quebec won the final round of the ECS-SCMX Pro Open Triple Crown finale, finishing ahead of Corin Todd of Otego, NY and Lincoln Lemieux of St. Johnsbury, Vermont. Asselin took the lead from the start and never looked back. In the Triple Crown Pro Lite final, Americans swept the podium with Mike Pilotte of Cheshire, Massachusetts winning over Montana Jess of Westminster, MA, and Leo Patenaude of Hartland, Vermont.

On the Yvon Duhamel ice oval track, the main Pro Champ 440 snowmobile event of the day went to Michigan's Malcolm Chartier. He won against Nicholas Van Strydonk of Tomahawk, Wisconsin and Quebec rider Felipe Roy-Lalonde. For Chartier, this was his 11th win in 17 starts so far this year.

In the Semi-Pro Champ class, Sabrina Blanchet held off a last lap attack from Michael Soucy of Hopkinton, New Hampshire to score her first major class win in Valcourt. It was the 15-year old young woman's first victory in the Eastern Pro Tour Series. Cole McMicheal of Lefroy, Ontario finished third.
