AmSnow’s Western Editor, Stephen Clark, had first crack at the new Ski-Doo Summit X T3 174. And he’s been nothing but impressed with the capabilities of the first-of-its-kind 174-inch tracked mountain masher!
“We really put the 174 through its paces today in some of the deepest, wettest snow I’ve ever ridden in,” said Clark, “Pretty incredible what this thing will do.”
Built on the REV-XM platform, the Summit X T3 174 incorporates industry leading innovation embracing the lightweight performance needed for shredding serious POW! Most noticeable on this sled is the unimaginable 174-inch track length equipped with a 3-inch paddle spinning around the tMotion rear suspension with new lightweight parts.
Upfront, the T3 package brings in the new RAS 2 front suspension finished off with Ski-Doo’s new Pilot DS 3 skis. A new lightweight muffler and optimized heat exchangers improve performance while shedding pounds!The combination of weight-saving steps taken by Ski-Doo engineers in the T3 package is amazing. They’ve managed to create a 174-inch machine weighing the same as a 163-inch machine without sacrificing performance.
