This 2005 Ski-Doo Mach Z was the baddest boy on the lake when it was first introduced. The big twin 1000cc 2-stroker was rated at well over 160 hp stock which made it top dog as far as out-of-the-box sleds went at the time. Getting a little more power and keeping reliability was the goal for this project. A lot of work was put into this engine and several important aftermarket components were added as well including adding a Boyesen power pack complete with Rage Cage and Powerwings.
Below is a list of other modifications we did to this already sweet sled.
- Full Pressure Test of engine Combustion and cooling side before disassembly,
- Weld case from previous bearing failure
- Re-worked the case with a fresh line bore
- Rebuilt the crankshaft with a better bearing and rod combination and trued to less than .0015"

- Oem pistons, gaskets, seals etc.
- Re-plated cylinder for proper piston to wall and ring clearances of .0055 on piston and .025 on rings
- New set of custom head domes & re-machined to get our compression to a safe 12.3:1 to be run on premium fuel
- Squish of .064
- New updated flywheel
