Gear Review: FXR Mission X Jacket & Bibs

After almost 1000 miles on my new FXR Mission X Jacket and bibs I can say that it is some of the warmest gear I have ever owned. We spent the last week up in the northernmost reaches of the Midwest testing daily in temps that did not break 0 and windchills that were often 30+ below zero.

This suit kept me warm and dry in the harshest temps and demanding aggressive on-trail and off-trail riding.  The detachable hood on the jacket was a surprisingly nice feature and kept my head warmer walking in and out of hotels and restaurants in several snowstorms.  The suit also fit correctly and looked like it was tailor-made for my size and stature.

There is nothing worse than ordering a new suit only to have the size change from the last year, or from demo units you tried on.  This one was a perfect fit.  The detachable lining on the jacket was SUPER warm and was only needed on the utmost coldest days where temps stayed steady around -10 to -20 degrees.  I ordered the lime green, black, and charcoal colored suit and although it matches the Arctic Cat sleds best, it also was complimented by the orange sleds as well as black sleds in our group of demo machines.

Midwest or western riders will enjoy this suit. Jacket Price:  $319.99 US, Bib Price:  $279.99 US - Mark Boncher, AmSnow's Editor
