You've heard the rumors. Now here's the details on the Red Bull Snow Boundaries snowmobile race to be held at Duluth's Spirit Mountain March 27-28, 2015.
Red Bull's Snow Boundaries endurance snowmobile race features parts of snocross, hill climbing, cross country and ice racing. Pro and amateur racers will compete side by side, within their own classes, over a 30-mile race course unlike any other. The course will include racing through ditches, over obstacles, up the ski hill and 20 miles of trails. Athletes will face obstacles such as log crosses, water skips, tire piles, vertical climbs and more!
Qualifying races will take place Friday, March 27, on a shorter 2-mile course. Top athletes from each class will advance to Saturday's finals under the lights and compete for more than $100,000 in cash and prizes.
Registration is already open on the event's website and ends March 13, 2015. Entry fees are $100 for those registered by March 1 and $125 for those registered by March 13. Classes include Pro Racer 600, Open 600, Ditch Banger 600, Women's 600 and Legends 600 (40+).
As many as 400 athletes are anticipated to participate in this event! And best of all, it's free for the public to attend! Spectators can watch all the action from the comfy confines of Spirit Mountain Moosehead Lodge or on the outside patio areas for both Friday and Saturday race action!
