Roseau, Minn. Mayor Jeff Pelowski has declared April 8 – 4/08 – as “Polaris RMK Day” in Roseau as the day’s date reflects the dry weight – 408 pounds – of the new 2016 Polaris 800 PRO-RMK 155 snowmobile. The sled is built at the Polaris manufacturing facility in Roseau on the new, patented, raised AXYS RMK Chassis.
“Roseau is the proud Birthplace of Polaris and home to the company’s snowmobile engineering and production facility,” Pelowski said. “April 4 – 4/08 – is the ideal day to celebrate the industry-leading innovation and amazingly light weight of the new PRO-RMK model that was developed by the Polaris staff right here in Roseau.”
“I hereby declare April 4, 2015 – referred to in this case as 4/08 – as ‘Polaris RMK Day’ in the City of Roseau. We salute Polaris for its legendary engineering excellence, and look forward to seeing what products Polaris develops next as the global leader in powersports.”
Chris Wolf, Polaris Vice President, Snowmobiles, thanked the mayor for the honor, saying, “We view this as recognition for the hard work and passion for innovation of our entire snowmobile engineering staff. We strive to deliver industry-leading snowmobiles that meet riders’ needs, and are proud of the powerful, lightweight new 800 PRO-RMK 155.”
