Hey sledders! I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself as the newest member of American Snowmobiler magazine. I look forward to meeting and getting to know AmSnow readers, advertisers and partners. For now, though, here's a little bit more about me.
Name: Emily Anne Hare
Position: Assistant Editor
Age: 29
Hometown: Ashland, Wis.
Family: Dan (husband), Baby Hare (due July 2015), JoAnne and John (mom and dad), Amanda, Tilly, Becky and Heather (sisters)
Education: BA in journalism from Marquette University
I was born and raised on the shores of Lake Superior in Ashland, Wis. As a child, I spent cold, snowy northern winters hopping on the back of my mom and dad's 2-up Yamaha snowmobiles for long-distance trail rides. I looked forward to pit stops at small-town bars, where I could warm my bones and refuel with a candy bar of my choice. In 2008, I graduated from Marquette University's College of Communications with a degree in journalism. Prior to joining AmSnow in 2015, I worked for 7.5 years in the sports department of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and 3.5 years on the editorial staff of Cabin Life magazine. My hobbies include cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers, camping, hiking, fishing, 4-wheeling, cooking, reading and playing in the snow with our black Lab, Cabella.
