American Snowmobiler magazine’s Toby Shepherd notched another podium finish by taking second place in the 600 Stock Pro class at White Pine in Pinedale, Wyo. March 7-8.

The course grew more challenging as the day went on, with rocks, stumps and logs all being uncovered as racers wore through the snow cover.

“Definitely another great race and I was pumped to get a second place in 600 Stock, which is a very competitive class,” Shepherd said.

His other finishes on the weekend included an eighth in 800 Stock, ninth in 1000 Stock, sixth in 800 Improved and sixth in 700 Stock.

His ninth place finish in the 1000 Stock class may have been his most impressive of the weekend, as Shepherd lost an A-arm on the right side of his sled two gates before the finish line, but still managed to get across.

With three of seven scheduled RMSHA races in the books this season (Climb the Mine in Bellevue, Idaho was cancelled), Shepherd sits right in the thick of several class races.

Next up for Shepherd and the rest of the RMSHA racers is the Jackson Hole World Championships, which takes place March 26-29. Be sure to follow the AmSnow website, find us on social media or subscribe here today to keep up on the latest snowmobile racing action!
