If you're looking for a place to brag about your latest snowmobiling racing results, or post a video of that new snowboarding trick you landed (or hopelessly bombed), then you might want to check out Shrick, a new social networking service specifically tailored to action sports athletes. At the very least, it'll give you a way to kill some time while you wait for the snow to fly again.

The name Shrick is derived from a combination of the words "share" and "trick," and the app is true to its name, allowing you to share your adrenaline-fueled triumphs and failures with other action sports junkies. You can also improve your riding experience by following your favorite pro riders and interacting with other athletes' posts. The app includes built-in tools for photo and video editing, and you can even add special effects like slow motion to your footage.

The app's integrated system of ratings and leaderboards allows you to compete with friends and users worldwide when you upload your tricks. You can even boost your rating by posting your trick failures in the Fail category (if you gather enough likes, of course). Facebook sharing options are also available within the app, and the Geolocation feature will let you share cool riding spots with your buddies. Finally, Shrick's Gear section is a place to share what ride helped you achieve your results or perform a trick.

The app includes a full trick database for 21 different sporting disciplines: Aggressive Inline, BMX, FMX, Jet Ski, Kayak, Kiteboard, Kitesurf, Longboard, MTB, Scooter, Skateboard, Ski, Snowboard, Snowmobile, Surfing, Wakeboard (boat), Wakeboard (cable), Windsurfing as well as Disabled Wake, Disabled Waterski and Wheelchair Skating. Creators of the app expect to add more sports to the lineup in the future.

Shrick is currently available in the App Store. An Android version and an HTML5-based desktop interface of the app will be available in late 2015.
